Good Luck Tom & TT1 Team!

I just wanted to take a quick second and ask all of my friends and family to keep my dear friend Tom in your thoughts over the next several days. Tom is racing in Race Across America which started today!

For those of you who don't know it is a a bike race from Oceanside, CA to Annapolis MD. Tom's team (Team Type 1) will be competing in the 8 man division of the race - 3,020 miles total and 100,000 feet of climbing! TT1 has won the race 2 out of the last 4 years and are looking to gain the title back this year, as well as break the race record. To do so, they will need to finish in under 5 days, 9 hours and 43 minutes. They will bike 24 hours a day to get it done and you have to remember, this is an 8 man team of Type 1 diabetics.

We, of course, are so proud of Tom; and he is a true inspiration to everyone who knows him. Colleen will be meeting her husband in Maryland to watch him cross the finish line next week. We are so excited for Tom & Colleen, and we hope you send good thoughts their way over the next several days!

Good Luck to Tom and the TT1 Team!!!! We know you will all do fabulous!!!!! You can keep up with the progress on Colleen's blog.

House is officially For Sale!

Wish us luck! :) I am not getting my hopes up too high, and understand that whatever happens, happens!

I plan every little, tiny aspect of my life, so not knowing what is going to happen is the worst.

But I saw this quote the other day and I love it! I am so anal about planning, so I am going to keep this quote in the back of my mind!

"We plan, God laughs"

Have a Happy Memorial Day everyone!

Our House!

Gabe and I bought our first house a little over three years ago. This house holds a special place in my heart. For those of you who don't know, we bought our house from my parent's best friends Paul & Nan.

At the time, we bought it because it was the perfect starter home, close to everything, and less than five minutes away from my mom and dad. I have fond memories of coming to this house as a child during family trips back to Ohio. Most days it feels like "our house" but sometimes I get flashbacks of it being Nan's house. It always makes me smile! :)

I remember soon after we moved into our house, I found my grandma's brag book, and in it was a invitation to my baby shower. It had our address, and even a map of our neighborhood. I think it is neat that I am living with my husband in the house that my baby shower was held in. :) I even have several old pictures of me playing outside at this house starting when I was about three years old and on.

Well the time has come for Gabe and I to try to sell this house! (In this housing market, who knows?) I am having mixed emotions about it, and for some reason I think I will be sad to leave. I almost wish I could pass this house on to someone in our family, and keep the tradition alive. Although I am super excited to buy a newer, bigger, better house, a small tiny part of me wishes we could stay!

2. Post the 4th picture in the folder.
3. Explain the photo.
4. Tag 4 fellow bloggers to join in the fun

This picture is from Chuck and Kelli's wedding last Spring when Gabe was Chuck's bestman. It was an awesome wedding, and a fabulous three day event. Everyone had a blast, and I will forever have some great memories from that weekend! :)

I am proud!

One of my best friend's has a daughter who is turning one next week. I have been excited about her gift for at least a month or two ago when I bought it. I can't tell you or show you pictures because obvioulsy her mom reads my blog. Anyways, since this is such a special birthday I decided to make my own package to put her gift in. I am not crafty at all, and I don't think anything I make ever looks good. But this time was different. I think it turned out really cute, and I am proud! :)

Okay..I stink at blogging!

There just isn't enough time in the day!

I have been a busy, busy girl! I actually like it because it keeps me focused.

My part-time job has been pretty full-time lately. We are busy. Real Estate is picking up like crazy...especially in Columbus. If you need a realtor call me, I have plenty of reccommendations.

School is good. I only have one speed class left and I graduate! Hopefully, next quarter will be my last. I am scheduled to graduate June 13th! :) Yay! Finally!

We leave for NYC tommorow for vacation! :) Okay, so I must start packing!

Pay it Forward!!!

I am taking on a great idea by my friend Liz:

Here are the details + rules:

1. Be one of the first THREE bloggers to leave a comment on this post, which then entitles you to a handmade item from me - something crafty or yummy, who knows?!

2. Winners must post this challenge on their own blog, meaning that you will Pay It Forward, creating a handmade gift -anything!- for the first THREE bloggers who leave a comment on YOUR post about this giveaway!

3. The gift that you send to your 3 Friends can be from any price range and you have 365 days to make/ship your item. This means you should be willing to maintain your blog at least until you receive your gift and have shipped your gifts. And, remember: It’s the Spirit and the Thought That Count!

4. When you receive your gift, please feel free to blog about it, sharing appropriate Linky Love! If you are not one of the Top Three Commenter's on this post, you can still play along. Go ahead and start your own Pay It Forward chain, and encourage your blogging friends to do the same!

SO, REMEMBER... Pay it forward! I can't wait to see who my three commenter's are - and start making their special homemade item. Depending on who it is depends on what the item will be!!

NKOTB Baby!

So, my very first concert ever was New Kids on the Block. I think I was eight or nine. So last year, almost 20 years later, myself and seven other girls went and saw them again in Cleveland! It was an absolute blast! We had so much fun, and my voice was even gone for a day or so because I screamed so much! :)

Well guess what? We are going to see them AGAIN!!!!!!! Yay! They are coming to Columbus on April 3rd, and I am pumped! This time I am having a custom shirt made, and I am going all out! We have 10 girls going in April, and I am so excited. :) My cousin Kaylea is having us all over for a pre-party, and we are going to have so much fun.

Well, anyways the point of this entire post was that my friend Christina mailed me a check to pay for her ticket to the concert, and she included the following in the envelope. Opening this tonight, made my night!

Have a great weekend everyone. I am off to jam to some New Kids tunes! :)

Okay, so I haven't been around!

Things have been so crazy busy that I must admit, I have forgotten to blog lately! I didn't even realize it until my friend Brandy pointed it out!

As most of you know my mom had a heart attack on January 28th. It was, of course, the scariest time of my life. For days and days I couldn't force myself to leave the hospital. It was physically and emotionally exhausting. She is home from the hospital and things are starting to look up. She is resting and recovering. It was a huge wake-up call for all of us.

We found out several weeks ago that Gabe and I are going to be an aunt and uncle again. My sister-in-law is pregnant again! Dominic is going to be a big brother in late August! We are so excited! :)

Nickolas our other nephew turns six on Valentine's day. His party is next week and he says all he wants is a green cake. :) I can't believe that he is going to be six already!

One of my good friend's Trisha had her baby last week. She named her Delaney, which I love so much. She is so beautiful and has lots of hair! :)

I am looking forward to this weekend. Our good friends Tom& Colleen are having several couples over for dinner, and I am super excited to just relax and be with my friends!

Well, that's all for now. And I wil try to keep up better from now on. :)

Tagged!

My lovely friend Brandy, Tagged me for this!
Thought it would be fun! :)
